Is it necessary to pay a fee to be part of MYKUBO?
No, the registration in MYKUBO is free of charges.
How to be a part of the artists/brands network of MYKUBO?
The first step is to answer our form, available on the page MYKUBO Registration.
Our curation team is demanding, and we only select artists and brands with inspiring products, created with sustainability awareness and an aesthetic and design that please our team. We accept products whose style or category is not yet represented in our collections.

What percentage does MYKUBO receive from each sale?
The sales commission on MYKUBO is 25% of the gross sales revenue. For artists and brands from the Portugal Manual network, the percentage is 20%.
Do all artists/brands have a video on MYKUBO?
No. The MYKUBO team is the one who invites the artists/brands to have the footage made in their atelier or studio.
Can brands managed by foreigners but based in Portugal be part of MYKUBO?
Yes, we have several brands owned by Italians, Argentines and Brazilian citizens. The multiculturalism enriches the Portuguese culture and any innovation project, whatever the market segment is.
The only requirement, in this case, is that the brand is registered and headquartered in Portugal.

What are MYKUBO's criteria for product selection?
All the products sent to MYKUBO will be evaluated and, in case they are selected, our curation team will get in touch.
We assure the selection of artists and brands with inspiring products, created with sustainability awareness and an aesthetic and design that please our team. We accept products whose style or category is not yet represented in our collections.

Is there a maximum of products for artist/brand?
Yes, 20 products.
Products out of stock
Products without stock can be bought on MYKUBO. The artist or brand can produce the product in a certain amount of time. The products available upon request have in their description the average amount of time of production – it can go from two weeks to four months, depending on the material, design and structure of the product.
Is there any obligation to the artists/brands about new products?
Every six months the artist or brand must upload, at least, one new product on the MYKUBO platform.
Who is responsible for the management of the stock?
The artist/brand.
Is there any help to the artists/brands with the translations of bios and products description?
The biography and products description texts are of the entire responsibility of the artist/brand.
However, or team always revises, and if needed – for a better comprehension, corrects the grammar and syntax. This applies for the Portuguese and English version.
Are the photos of the products taken by the MYKUBO team?
No. The artist/brand is responsible for the photos of their products.
The photographs must attend the following requirements:
– Have professional photographic quality;
– All of the details of the product(s) must be shown in the photographs (colors, textures, materials and others);
– The image must be delivered in the following dimensions: 1100pixels x 1422 pixels and JPG format.
Shipping
Who manages the shipment of the product?
The collection and shipping of the product is managed by MYKUBO.
The artist/brand has the responsibility of having the product properly packed, and being available at the time, previously agreed with MYKUBO, in which the shipping company will pick up the order.
If the product arrives damaged to the client, who is responsible? And how to proceed?
The buyer must share with MYKUBO photographs of the product, and if our team verifies the damage, or any other problem with the functionality, the responsibility of the exchange and return is responsibility of the artist/brand.
MYKUBO manages the collection with the carrier and the shipping costs are covered by the artist/brand.
The buyer can exchange for the same product, another product of the artist/brand, another product of other artist/brand, or the devolution of the value of the purchase.
If the piece gets stuck in the customs, who pays the taxes to get cleared?
The buyer of the product.
Legalities
Is there any contract between the artist/brand and MYKUBO?
Yes, both parties sign a contract of service provisions.
All artists and brands receive a contract for reading, comprehension and signing, before they begin their presence on the online platform.
MYKUBO team will always be available to clarify any doubt about any of the points of the document.
Payments
How is the payment made to the artist/brand?
The bank transference will be me made on the first and fifteenth day of every month. On the first day will be paid the values according to the sales from day 1 to 15 of the month before, and on day 15 will be paid the values from day 15 to day 30 of the month before.
The value of the MYKUBO commission will be deducted from the payment, and VAT will be added at the legal rate to this amount.

Who is the MYKUBO team?
MYKUBO is a project from the company KUBOLOGY, LDA, with the headquarters in Évora, and it belongs to the digital communication group – GLOBAL PROUD.
The team includes responsible professionals for web project management; web programming and technology; client, artists/brands management, design and communication.
Does MYKUBO receive any institutional support?
MYKUBO has the financial support of the program Alentejo 2020, from Portugal 2020. Quoting the description of the site www.portugal2020.pt:
“(…) It is a European Union strategy, approved by every member-state, launched in 2010 for the next following ten years. It aims the growth and employment envisioning not only a way out of the crisis, of which the economies are gradually recovering from, as well as fill in the shortcomings of our growth model and create conditions to grow.”
