Uni Ouriço

The Uni Ouriço is “a small piece that represents Portugal perfectly”. Handmade, with 365 spines, every piece is unique.

Wood is the base element. A warm material that ensures the full transition from sea to land, keeping this hedgehog as natural and as alive as possible.

The layer of teak oil, applied in the final stage of the manufacturing process, gives it a natural wood smell, enhances the beauty of the object and brings it as close as possible to the living being.

Paulo Reis is the founder of this project. Passionate about the sea and nature, he had the good fortune to be born, grow up and live with the sea at his doorstep, in Ericeira, where the countryside and rural landscapes meet the rough cliffs and the salt of the cold, and often, violent Atlantic.
